Enterprise Safeguards
Axura includes enterprise-grade safeguards to prevent accidental damage during automated remediation. Kill switch, circuit breaker, change windows, and more.
Why Safeguards Matter
Automated remediation can be powerful but also risky. Axura includes multiple safeguards to ensure changes are safe, controlled, and reversible.
Available Safeguards
1. Kill Switch
Emergency stop that immediately halts all automated remediations organization-wide. Use during incidents or when unexpected behavior is detected.
Location: Settings → Kill Switch
Activation: One-click enable
Effect: Blocks ALL auto-remediations
Who: Admin or Owner role required2. Circuit Breaker
Automatically stops remediation if too many failures occur in a short period, preventing cascading issues.
Threshold: 5 failures in 5 minutes
Cooldown: 15 minutes
Auto-recovery: Yes
Alert: Slack/Email notification3. Change Windows
Restrict when automated remediation can run. Only allow changes during business hours or maintenance windows.
Example: Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM EST
Blocked: Weekends, holidays
Override: Manual approval required
Notifications: Queued for next window4. Four-Eyes Approval
Require a second person to approve high-risk remediations before execution.
Trigger: Critical/High severity findings
Approvers: Admin role required
Notification: Slack with approve/reject buttons
Expiry: 24 hours (configurable)5. Rate Limiting
Limit the number of remediations that can run per hour to prevent runaway automation.
Default: 10 per hour
Configurable: Per integration type
Queuing: Excess items queued
Dashboard: Real-time rate display⚠️ Production Best Practice
We recommend enabling all safeguards for production environments. Start conservative and relax settings as you build confidence in the automation.
Safeguard Configuration
Configure safeguards in Settings → Safeguards. Each safeguard can be enabled/disabled independently and has its own configuration options.
